CPHP enters into contracts with post-graduate training programs and schools to provide services to Colorado residents and students. Training Programs statewide receive CPHP services for those in training that do not have full Medical/Physician Assistant Colorado licenses (therefore do not pay into the Peer Assistance Service Fund). CPHP encourages Training Programs to enter into annual contracts to ensure that their trainees can access health assistance early. Identifying problems or concerns as early as possible is essential in preventing more advanced diagnoses or complications of problems and aids in protecting the public welfare.

There are benefits to contracted Training Programs; including educational presentations, CPHP staff expertise/advisement and continual updates from the field of physician health. Training contracts correspond with the training program academic year.
