CPHP provides Critical Incident and community tragedy Debriefing Services. During community tragedies, CPHP outreaches hospitals and medical personnel involved in such incidents to provide individual and group debriefings in an effort to reduce the likelihood of physician practitioners developing stress reactions or other health conditions. However, you may outreach CPHP as well to request our Debriefing Services.
Our program offers Debriefing Services to physicians/departments to address bad outcomes and other distressing experiences such as tragedies like a community shooting or physician suicide. Each debriefing session typically takes place at the employee’s workplace, and can be catered to fit the needs of the medical personnel. CPHP’s Associate/Medical Directors (Psychiatrists) conduct the debriefings. While all staff affected by the incident are invited to attend, those directly involved in the incident are recommended to participate. The CPHP Debriefing sessions can include recognition of illnesses, common feelings/emotions, and professional side effects that can occur after a critical incident. Please contact our offices if you, or your facility would like to utilize our Debriefing Services.
